The Red River Hog is a native animal of western and central Africa. They tend to live in swamps, thick forests and savannas. The Hogs tend to engage in frequent Ritual fights to decide the leader of the family group. The bumpy growths on their snouts are to protect themselves from other Hogs tusks when snout boxing. During these matches they also whip one and other with their tails and bellow loudly to heed off rivals.
